The St Barbara Foundation has been active in humanitarian mine and ordnance clearance since 1995.

The foundation was named after Saint Barbara – the patron saint of, inter alia, artillerymen, miners, and others who work with explosives. St Barbara’s feast day is celebrated on 4 December.

Our VISION is a world where the people get a chance to live where their roots are and their culture is – Home instead of Migration.

Our MISSION is to provide sustainable aid to people in conflict areas for a safe life without the risk of death or injury from landmines and other remnants of war. We fight the causes of migration and flight, invest in people and improve the living conditions on the site.
